What is Forma by InMode?

Forma is an FDA-approved non-invasive skin tightening and contouring treatment offered by InMode, a leading provider of advanced medical aesthetic solutions. Forma utilizes radiofrequency (RF) technology to deliver controlled heat to the skin, stimulating collagen production and improving the appearance of the skin. It is a non-surgical treatment that does not require incisions, anesthesia, or prolonged downtime, making it a convenient option for those seeking non-invasive skin rejuvenation.

Benefits of Forma

Forma is designed to treat a variety of skin concerns, including sagging skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and uneven skin tone. It can be used on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, abdomen, arms, thighs, and other areas where skin laxity is a concern.

The potential benefits of Forma by InMode may include:

Skin tightening: Forma's RF technology stimulates collagen production, which can help tighten loose or sagging skin, resulting in a firmer and more youthful appearance.

Wrinkle reduction: By promoting collagen production, Forma may help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leading to smoother skin.

Contouring: Forma's ability to tighten and tone the skin may help improve the contours of treated areas, providing a more sculpted appearance.

How is forma Treatment performed?

Forma can be used on multiple areas of the body and face. For the face and neck, each treatment does not exceed 45 minutes, while the body sessions last about 30-60 minutes.

The medical aesthetician applies an ultrasound gel to the target areas and glides the Forma head in small, intense movements over those areas until the proper temperature is reached.

During the treatment, there is no pain. You can relax and feel warm heat as the treatment head moves all over the treated area. Just like having a hot stone massage. Forma treatments can also be combined with additional therapies.

How many sessions will I need?

Collagen production and skin remodelling are ongoing processes; Forma treatments must be performed with sessions. Depending on the target area, the extent of our problem and the desired results, there might be a need for 6-8 treatments in total.

With each visit, there is an ongoing improvement in the appearance and elasticity of the skin. Over time there is a remarkable reduction in the folds and wrinkles, while sagging skin appears more toned and lifted, offering a more contoured, smooth look.

As collagen degradation is inevitable, following a maintenance program after the initial sessions is good for preserving long-term results.

Before your Forma treatment

Avoid sun exposure: Minimize sun exposure and use sunscreen with a high SPF for at least two weeks prior to the treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin may increase the risk of adverse reactions and affect treatment efficacy.

Discontinue certain skincare products: Avoid using harsh skincare products, such as retinoids or exfoliants, for several days before the treatment. These products can irritate the skin and increase sensitivity during Forma treatment.

Cleanse the skin: Cleanse your skin thoroughly on the day of the treatment to remove makeup, lotions, and skincare products. Clean, dry skin allows for better radiofrequency penetration during the procedure.

Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to the treatment to ensure well-hydrated skin, which can enhance the results and promote faster recovery.

after your Forma treatment

Protect the skin: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF to the treated area daily, especially when going outdoors. Sun protection helps prevent sun damage and maintains the results of the treatment.

Avoid sun exposure: Limit sun exposure and wear protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses when outdoors, as sun exposure can increase the risk of complications and interfere with healing.

Gentle skincare: Use gentle skincare products and avoid harsh exfoliants or active ingredients (e.g., retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids) until the treated area has fully healed. Gentle cleansing and moisturizing can help soothe the skin and promote recovery.

Manage swelling and discomfort: It's normal to experience some swelling, redness, or discomfort after Forma treatment. Applying cool compresses and taking over-the-counter pain relievers as directed by your healthcare provider can help alleviate these symptoms.

It's important to note that the specific results and benefits of the treatment may vary depending on the individual's skin condition, treatment plan, and other factors. It's essential to consult with our specialists to determine if the treatment is suitable for your specific needs and expectations.
